The structure of the school day at St. Hubert School
The school day at St. Hubert School Junior High is very different from elementary school. In this essay, I will discuss the similarities and differences between elementary school and junior high.
In elementary school, you keep all of your supplies and books in the room at your desks. All of your classes are in the same room for the most part, and the same teacher instructs all of the main classes such as English, Math, Science, History, and so on.
On the other hand, junior high is very different. One good thing is, after homeroom (the time between 8:00 and 8:20 when you are in your main room), we start with two classes, and then we enjoy a five-minute break! After that we have two more classes. Then come lunch and recess, two classes, another five-minute break, and the last two classes. At 3:05, we go back to our homeroom, pray, and are dismissed.
Another difference is, in junior high, we have one teacher for Math and Science, one for Language Arts and English, and another one for History and Religion. (The eighth grade has yet another teacher, the principal, for history.) We (junior high students) also have student numbers that we must put on all of our papers in some classes.
Some things that are the same are the following: school starts at 8:15 and ends at 3:15 in elementary school and in junior high, and both are in the same building here at St. Hubert School.
